I have always wanted to learn how to dance. With the gentle push of a Friend who recommended Arthur Murray Dance Studio of Woodbrigde, I decided to stop making excuses. I was told that if I wanted a place where I could feel confident and learn to lead in my life, then I came to the right place. My career is one where I spend long hours sitting at the computer. Thus, socializing and public speaking were not my forte, but dancing instruction helped me gain the skills I needed to use the talents I have and apply myself in a more directive management environment. Through the patience of my teachers and the wonderful people I have met, I have had the opportunity to develop rhythm and learn non-verbal cues of communication to help me lead and dance with esteem. Pushing myself to go outside my comfort zone and socialize during group experience has had a phenomenal impact on my career and life! I smile more as I move around more rhythmically, I participate more confidently in social environments and I even stand taller. Physically, I feel more vibrant and emotionally I am more stable and confident in myself!! Thank-you to the wonderful staff and people who participate every week in such a healthy and engaging environment. Opportunities are endless if you have the desire, give yourself the tools you need for life. As their motto says "Walk-in and Dance out!!" Great food; really interesting atmosphere. Spectacular drinks! The seats on the outside patio are tree stumps. There's live music too on some days. The menus come on a vinyl record. And I had pretty good service too. No lingering waiters but I saw them pretty often during the night. It's one of the few cozy getaways left in Toronto. Lire plus

If you're looking for fine dining with great service and a relaxing atmosphere in Toronto, you'll need to look up to the sky and search for Canoe. Food: The menu is simple yet it's high quality and well prepared dishes with great wine and drinks pairing. We decided to go with an app, an entree, and dessert - although the dishes didn't surprise us, they still met our expectations of high quality. The real treats were the Oyster Boy's Finest and Pan Seared Quebec Foie Gras, each being a great start to our meal. Although it was great, it didn't end with a bang. The meal kept its pace right through to dessert. Service: The wait staff were very attentive and accomodating. Our server was attentive to our needs, and was engaged without being too involved in our dining experience. I was impressed by the service from everyone this evening! Atmosphere: I would definitely recommend trying to reserve a table by the window. The place is beautiful with the simple and modern decor, though the view of the city is an added bonus to your meal. It's definitely worth the visit if you're looking to dine in the sky with a great meal, but be prepared to empty out your wallet, because this place isn't cheap. Lire plus
