FABULOUS! Had lunch and the tastes were amazing with reasonable portions and cost. Samosas had more filling and less pastry unlike the common fare in Toronto. been here many of times Good food Friendly staff , sometimes quite but and talking with the owners gee some of the things they have to put up with. Firstly while asking about some of the reviews , I figured there had to be 2 sides to every story .

I visited Sgt. Pepper's in AJAX this weekend with my husband and after reading the reviews I was really worried. WOW, were we surprised!
Perhaps there were changes made since the last reviews were posted: we had a friendly server who was very attentive throughout our meal, brought drinks quickly and was able to remember everything about our order and that of another table's without writing anything down.
We had the Calamari, Veggie Samosas, Burger with Fries and Steak Sandwhich with Peppercorn sauce. The calamari was lightly breaded and crispy without being oily, my samosas while not authentically "indian" had a really nice potato and veggie filling, served with sweet chili sauce. My husband said his burger and fries were really good.
I think a good test of a kitchen is how they handle something like a steak sandwhich. Mine was not the run of the mill piece of shoe leather I've had at other places. This was a tender juicy piece of beef that was actually cooked how I'd asked for it, served on a not-too-garlicky ciabatta bun and the fries were great.
I'm not sure what people expect out of the decor of your average burger join, but the booths were fine and the whole restaurant and both bathrooms were really clean. Overall, I'd say that this was a really good experience and I'm sure both my husband and I will return to this location.

I've been to Shoeless Joes in Alliston several times and have always enjoyed my dining experience. The service is fantastic and the atmosphere is very inviting, comfortable and clean, but the real reason I keep going back is the food.
I eat out often and believe that Shoeless Joes provides a great dining experence and excelent value. I would recommend Shoesless joes to even the most fussy eater.

We were invited to a party of forty, celebrating a family members birthday on a Sunday night.
We drove 50kms, middle of winter, -25C, crunch under our feet from the fresh snow, the town was quiet and peaceful. The restaurant was inviting, cozy, and comfortable, not like super-cave restaurants where everyone freezes and the sound travel is deafening.
The party room in back is a gas! I spotted the fireplace in the corner and said to my wife, "That's the best looking gas fireplace I have ever seen!"... Then a girl went over and threw another log on it!!... Where do you ever see that anymore?!
The service was exceptional. Two very pleasant people, a young lady and gentlemen attended to all forty of us and our needs. They were busy, but very attentive. They continually made rounds, checking on all the clients.
The food was wonderful. I don't know how anyone could not be impressed by the jagerschnitzel, fingerling potatoes and red cabbage, my dinner of choice. As well, my wife informed me the pork tenderloin was grand.
For the cold winter evening it was, the atmosphere inside was so inviting. It was wonderful! Very old, like an Inn, yet still very casual. Still, I wouldn't wear jeans, just out of respect!
We will be dining there again very soon.

If you are looking for a spot to hang with your friends and watch the game then you definitely need to hit up Whitby St.Louis. They pride themselves on their staff as well as ensuring that any major game that is playing is on every TV. This means hockey, baseball, football, UFC, golf- you name it they have it. Oh and the wings, fries and garlic dip is delicious. My personal favorite is the Hot n Honey wing sauce or the Suicide wing sauce. I would suggest going on Tuesday for wing night, or on Thurs or Fri which is their busiest nights. They have a huge regular following from 3pm to 5:30pm so if you are looking for some company at the bar, this is the time to go!
