This is one of my favourite Chinese restaurants because of the food alone. Sure the service is nothing to write home about, and the atmosphere is just above par- I go here for the food! Our absolute favourite for authentic italian. You know the restaurant is a gem when the local Italians eat there with their whole families (babies too!). As Marcello's is always packed, go early to get a seat (especially if your party is larger than 4) or expect to wait in line at least 30 minutes or longer. Service is prompt when seated and the lively atmosphere makes it very homey. The waiters are efficient, no-nonsense and definitely not snobby(as in other places), and they know the menus. On regular nights we share an appetizer, and dessert with our meals and we are stuffed!! The tirimisu is home made and heavenly; you could easily have seconds. I have been to other restaurants on College street, and quite honestly, at Marcello's the dishes are on par and above on quality. Combine the quality of food, with good portion sizes, very reasonable pricing, and you will see why Marcello's is always packed!! Lire plus

Service was exceptional!!! The owner of the restaurant and his wife (I wish we asked for their names but unfortunately didn’t) were extremely nice the whole time! Also accommodated really well for a nut allergy, which is uncommon in my experience, so big thanks go to their chefs. The food was incredible. I had a dream about eating at this place last night, so I thought that I'd write a review! I've eaten at this place a handful of times and I've never had a bad experience...ever. I would go more often, but it's very out-of-the-way for me. I usually get the chicken burrito and free chips+homemade salsa are included. The meat is fresh and not dry like other places! Salsa is definitely not Old El Paso. Aside from the homemade and freshness of the food, what sets it apart is the non-chain decor and the friendliness of the staff. The atmosphere at El Sombrero really makes you feel as though you're somewhere else - as opposed to a strip mall in Mississauga. :) Again, I wish that they're open up a location south, closer to me, an actual sit-down restaurant with servers, and an extended menu will probably succeed as well since there aren't any Mexican restaurants nearby!
