Silver Star Auto - I have been using Silver Star to repair all my vehicles for almost 20 years now. THEY ARE HONEST. They do not BS people. They are willing to cater to unique needs of a customer (like present an alternatives, if possible). The staff is very experienced with everyone being more or less there at the start and still there with the added apprentice once in a while (or worker - whatever - I assume).
These guys remembered my name after being away for years - that is impressive in on its own; it means they are smart and have good memories, which I think would serve a mechanic well; and apparently does.
When a LARGE Canada wide "Tire" company mechanic told me I needed new ball joints or my wheels would fall off within a month; even though I was there to get my brakes looked at, and quoted me prices over $1000. I HAD to get a second opinion. I just chanced upon Silver Star and was told the ball joints were fine. They lasted longer than 10 years - longer than the truck actually. Also, the brake job came in around $100 only (but 20 years ago), because they only did what was necessary, not tacking on new rotors, or the rear brakes (which had lots of life left at the time).
They will show you an old part they removed if you ask and even point out how it was defective.
They are professional and friendly enough - but not "Salesmen" - I have never been pressured to buy this or that. Try them and see!

Excellent customer service.. Mechanic knows what he is doing and he shows you what is wrong with your car and makes sure that you see it unlike other mechanics when they just call through all the problems to your list even unnecessary stuff just so they make more money out of labour hours

Drove out to Trades today to have a check-up and oil change. My mechanic, Terry, is the best! He checked everything over carefully and did more than he needed to service my Jeep. Reasonable prices too! I won't trust my Jeep to anyone else going forward. Well worth the nice drive for the friendly and competent service! Highly recommended.

My truck broke down while towing a 5th wheel through Barriere. After reading a couple of reviews on auto repair services in Kamloops I chose Reach. Luckiest thing that happened to me that day. Although busy they fit me in as soon as the tow-truck arrived. My problem was identified within minutes, a part ordered (from out of town), and installed the next morning. I went to Western Pride for the first time this morning. I had hoped to get my inside of my car detailed, but realized when I got there that I needed to book an appointment. Looking humorously not dressed to clean a car with a blouse and dress pants, I figure that I would just clean the car. The person there helped me to get the rinse nozzle and shampoo onto the right hose. He even offered to give me gloves given how inappropriately dressed I looked. That guy deserves a raise. So impressed!
