A part of the Save-On-Foods chain this local Buy-Low Foods is a great community grocery store. They truly carry a great selection of products and offer a great selection of organic produce and organic and naturally raised meats and dairy products. Shop the end aisles for great specials they rotate based on deals they can get from their suppliers and check out the great selection of Asian products they offer as well. There is ample parking in the back most of the time and the staff are friendly and helpful in guiding you to locate those last items on your list. As a member of the Save-On chain there are also lots of specials on offer that usually mirror whats on sale at Save-On. Check out your local Buy-Low and you'll be glad they're part of your neighbourhood too!Lire plus
The Greek restaurant Stepho's, which is just down the street, is much more popular than Taki's, but in my opinion Taki's is far superior. I know Stepho's is really cheap and they give you a ton of food but Taki's is by no means expensive and the quality of the food is much better. Take my advice and avoid the long lines at Stepho's for a seat at Taki's.Lire plus
Wow what an amazing dinner! The food tastes amazing and the amount of food you get is very generous compared to the price. Definitely coming back to eat here! Lire plus
This place is very delicious. Specially, I found the Vietnamese coffee's style here. Order "ca phe sua da" (coffee with condensed milk) and take your time to enjoy it. Price is good. I will return here at any time.Lire plus
I visit the store to pick up my UPS parcels. The shop is small with a bit of everything. The proprietor may seem stern but he's quite a nice fellow once you get to know him. He's always been very pleasant with me. I'm amazed at how hard he works: 7 days a week, twelve hours each day. That earns my respect!Lire plus
Nesters is another great example of a quality neighbourhood grocery store. They have a great deli offering ready made foods and a great selection of drinks as well as a fantastic produce section offering many organics. Their freezer section also carries a wide variety of products not often seen in your typical grocery store. The meats are great and they have a fantastic seafood selection in a fresh case. The only small knock is that their prices are sometimes a titch higher but they do offer great specials and have a weekly flyer that offers some great deals. That said we love Nesters and our child LOVES the little shopping carts she can push around the store. Nesters is a great spot for all your grocery needs!Lire plus
This neighbour hood store provides more services than a tiny store. I did Passport Photo here, Key Cutting here, Computer Repair here, Cell phone Top Up, Money transfer and ATM, Even Dry Cleaning. I would say, it is so convenience to us. I like it.Lire plus
Whole Foods opened their first location at Park Royal and I eagerly awaited their arrival at Cambie Street when i saw the sign go up that they were locating their. Little did I realize that this meant the demise of my favourite Capers location just up the street at 16th and Cambie. For that reason it has taken me a long time to warm to this store. This store does not have the same vibe as the West van store but I think that is partly due to the space they have to work with. That said, they carry the best selection of organic and natural and special diet products in Vancouver. The prices are reasonable, if not a little steep at times but they often have specials that take the bite out of the grocery bill a little. They are the store to buy organic dairy products as the organic milk is the cheapest in town on a daily basis. The meat department is a full service butcher and everything is clean and fresh looking...that said the meat can tend to be a bit pricey. The bakery is good and the ready to go foods are always yummy. All in all this is a pretty good store and great for those of us who try to maximize the organic foods that we eat.Lire plus
This store is easily one of our daughter's favourite stores to visit. I mean, whats not to love? They have a mechanical horse right out front, they have a miniature train which chugs around the store on a track suspended from the ceiling, they give helium balloons to the kids, they have a big aquarium and they are often sampling tasty food right inside the door. Combine this with all of the great attributes of all the Choices stores like organics and natural food items and we love it too!Lire plus
If you are ever whipping up Asian food at home this is the store you need to visit for your ingredients. They carry everything, literally everything you could ever possible need on your ingredient list. The aisles are fun to walk and marvel at the products that you will rarely if ever see on the shelves of your local mainstream supermarket. The bakery is great with fresh custard and pork buns and makes a great spot to stop for a snack. Their seafood section is incredible too with tank after tank of live seafood of all types and descriptions. Check out T&T Supermarket!Lire plus
Urban Fare is another very neat place for the foodie in you. They offer a terrific selection of ready-made foods that you can assemble for an impromptu picnic on the seawall or take home for an easy dinner. They offer an excellent selection of produce and carry many organic and many unusual items and the produce always looks great. Their meat and seafood is also incredible and is one of the few places that I have ever seen Kobe beef available for sale. Did I mention the cheese? Oh my goodness the cheese! The selections are varied and excellent and there are often samples of cheese that you can try before you buy. Moving into the aisles introduces you to an awesome selection of brands and products that you won't find at an average grocery store and they are fantastic! Urban Fare is a must for the foodie in you!Lire plus
We love visiting this location of Choices and perusing the aisles and aisles of great products they have on offer. While they offer a wide variety of organic produce, dairy and meat they also offer a good selection of less expensive conventional products that are naturally raised. With friendly staff and great service we are often happy to spend our money here. They have nice little touches too like a balloon for the kids or the classic grocery store horsey ride that is still only 25 cents (!) just outside the store. Choices also has a great selection of specials that they offer every week and a great selection of vitamins and supplements for every need. The location is a little teeny bit out of the way but easy to get to and they have great parking. There are also a few little shops around that make it worth the drive. Visit Choices for your organic and natural food needs!Lire plus
