Hai nam chicken and stir fry cod with gai lan were our dinner combo entree selections we decided to go with. Both very good. Many a la carte options too. Northern Vietnamese cuisine. I have tried their other location but happen to be in the area. We came here right at 11am opening so lots of tables to choose from. Only one hour street parking close or just drive two blocks in on the side streets and no time limit. We enjoyed the mango salad, pyramid rice dumpling filled with pork and mushrooms - nice smooth rice texture, deep fried crab meat rolls and ‎the traditional Vietnamese sandwich. We chose this location as it served both brunch and lunch options on Sundays and it takes reservation through OpenTable. We tried the breakfast manouche, lamb sausage with poached eggs and lamb kafta. Both were very good and flavorful. Their daily juice special was made with fresh ginger and it gave it a nice kick. The service was good and the lower level of the restaurant was full. Lots of pay street parking else park a few blocks away where there are no meters in the residential surroundings. Lire plus

I typically just go for pho or noodle/rice dish at a Vietnamese restaurant. I came here with a party of 8 and was pleasantly surprised of other dinner options available. We preordered several dishes including crab, oxtail, lamb popsicles, braised fatty pork with eggs in clay pot. We started with a shredded chicken salad, spring roll and shrimp rolls and in chit. The daily dessert option was creme brûlée. It frankly all tasty very good but a bit greasy so ok once in awhile. The service was ok. Lire plus

Great British-themed pub in Newport Village! During the Fall and Winter months it is often packed with a casual, yet fun crowd all weekend long. There is live entertainment on the weekends, which can be fun as well. The servers are attentive and the food is generally good (for pub food). I recommend sticking to the more traditional dishes like the stuffed baby yorkies, Guinness soup, shepherd’s pie, and the steak and Guinness pie (my fave!). We were there this past weekend for the first time in awhile and we realized why we love it so much – it’s that comfortable pub down the street when the weather is bad and you don’t feel like cooking!
