One of my favourite Japanese restaurants in Langley, both their sushi and hot food is great. I've never received less than outstanding service, and it offers reasonable value for the money. It depends on your frame of reference, as it doesn't stack up to some of the better Vancouver Japanese, especially when it comes to sushi, but a very solid restaurant in the valley. Lire plus

We chose this location as it served both brunch and lunch options on Sundays and it takes reservation through OpenTable. We tried the breakfast manouche, lamb sausage with poached eggs and lamb kafta. Both were very good and flavorful. Their daily juice special was made with fresh ginger and it gave it a nice kick. The service was good and the lower level of the restaurant was full. Lots of pay street parking else park a few blocks away where there are no meters in the residential surroundings. Lire plus

Pajo's has an excellent location in Rocky Point Park! We've walked over a few times this summer, to enjoy traditional fish & chips at the picnic tables in the park! The fish is great and the chips are thick and hot! It's a traditional, good old-fashioned fish & chips place! The bonus being you get to enjoy your food while looking out at the ocean. It's always busy, so sometimes the wait can be a bit much, but it's worth it! They've added healthy options to the menu too, like a salad with salmon on it I believe (which I didn't try personally, but my friend had it and said it wasn't bad at all!), so if you don't want the grease, try that...or live a little and enjoy! I typically just go for pho or noodle/rice dish at a Vietnamese restaurant. I came here with a party of 8 and was pleasantly surprised of other dinner options available. We preordered several dishes including crab, oxtail, lamb popsicles, braised fatty pork with eggs in clay pot. We started with a shredded chicken salad, spring roll and shrimp rolls and in chit. The daily dessert option was creme brûlée. It frankly all tasty very good but a bit greasy so ok once in awhile. The service was ok. Lire plus

We came here on a weeknight, for a friends birthday it was quite busy despite what we had heard. The atmosphere was very good, sort of bustling. The service was quite good as well even though they seemed very busy. The food was the winner of the day though with such a selection of appetizers it was hard to decide between snacking on selections like dungeness crab rice paper rolls, seared digby scallops and wild mushroom and goat cheese pate or going for the Entrees.. Great British-themed pub in Newport Village! During the Fall and Winter months it is often packed with a casual, yet fun crowd all weekend long. There is live entertainment on the weekends, which can be fun as well. The servers are attentive and the food is generally good (for pub food). I recommend sticking to the more traditional dishes like the stuffed baby yorkies, Guinness soup, shepherd’s pie, and the steak and Guinness pie (my fave!). We were there this past weekend for the first time in awhile and we realized why we love it so much – it’s that comfortable pub down the street when the weather is bad and you don’t feel like cooking!
