I recently read about Panino Cappuccino in the Toronto Sun. There was an article talking about this "hidden gem". I would have never expected such a cute Italian restaurant to have been in the small Weston rd. plaza I pass by every day. Well kudos to the author because they were totally right! I decided to give it a try! I took my girlfirend one Friday night & the place was packed! We were however greeted right away and scored a corner booth! We shared the Italian Springs Rolls (UNREAL!) to start. I had the penne alla vodka and my friend had the seabass which was the special for the night. The food was exceptionally good and definately impressed my friend and I. The servers were also great & the atmosphere was very cozy. On our way out we even had the opportunity to meet one of the brothers/owners 'Fabio' who was also very nice. Can't wait to go back for more yummy spring rolls! Lire plus

Found this place one morning after a party and had breakfast with a friend. Loved the food, loved the decor. Restaurant is clean and the food is adequately priced for their downtown location. You don't feel rushed to finish up and get out - the chef guy even left a pot of coffee on our table so we could refill it ourselves. The chef guy does have an attitude but he is not obnoxious. Sometimes he gets bored and will eavesdrop on your conversation and make commentary, or crack a few jokes with you. He is authentic, and so is his restaurant. I love my spanish empanadas, but these Jamaican Beef empanadas or "Patties"..so they call them are extremely delicious...nice and spicy, the way i like it.. i tried beef and seafood patties and i had to drive back to buy 6 of each for my family to try. i wish they had a "PATTY TIME" store in las vegas. i cannot wait to revisit toronto again just for this food. my friends and i love this place! the food is always good and the waitresses are all so friendly and funny! they're also very accommodating since i have a ton of allergies. (not to mention, their portions are HUGE) sometimes the food takes a bit to come out when it's busy, but that's always understandable. overall, it's a great place to have a casual lunch date with your girlfriends, they're never pushy about patrons staying too long.
