Had dinner there on a Sunday night recently. I have walked by many times not realizing how nice the dining room was. There is a fun bar area up front that I noticed walking by , but I wasn't expecting such a nice room in back. Started with oysters, followed by a veal dish. My wife had the beef tenderloin, both were excellent. Server was smooth and there whenever he was needed. Great wine list. Lire plus

My friends and I always enjoy Tokyo Kitchen. We've never been disappointed. The Gyoza are quite good. I tend to order the Donbury dishes and I go back again and again for them. My friends occasionally go for the ramen. They use the less common dark style with a touch of soy sauce in the broth. I'd recommend trying it at least once if you've only had light ramen before. The green tea icecream must be homemade. It's the most fantastic green tea icecream I've ever tasted. It's creamy and very mildly sweet with a real depth to the flavor - perfectly capturing the Japanese knack for subtle sweetness. Lire plus

I first visited Allen's back in the 80's, not long after it opened, and I was instantly smitten. So much so, in fact that I moved into the neighbourhood! First I was a regular, then a nuisance, and finally a piece of furniture. I finally moved back to Markham in 1998, and cannot justify going anywhere south of Steeles Avenue without stopping into Allen's for lunch. The food is imaginative, superbly prepared, and so delicious, that even when I'm full, I often look at the menu again, just to see what I'll be ordering on my next visit! And the patio? Sushi Club is the best sushi restaurant I have ever been to. Their food is delicious and they have really good service. Even though I don't live in the neighbourhood, I go there because it is the best restaurant. The renovation they had this summer was very good. It affected the restaurant by a lot. This restaurant is fantastic! You are in complete darkness, served by visually impaired staff...to basically give you the feeling of what it is like to be completely blind. The service was impeccable! Our server was very polite and always asked if we needed anything. The food is wonderful and fresh. Eating in complete darkness is really an experience on it's own. We will be definately going again! The location is easily accessable off of Church Street, and parking is very close...within 300 meters. Lire plus

I love their fresh spring rolls. Flat out my favorite dish. They are crisp and chewy. Their pork and chicken skewers are excellent; I like the chicken slightly more. The peanut dipping sauce (used in the skewers and the rolls) is excellent! I usually get their gang dang which is very spicy and has a nice mix of vegetables. Their pad thai is pretty good, but it isn't a dish that I like a lot. Their fried spring rolls are excellent. The waitstaff are very friendly. Lire plus
