My wife and I have been in Ottawa for 15 years. we have a short list of favourite places to eat. This is at the top of our list. The food is tasty and healthy (with great variety), the prices are amazing, the ambiance is peaceful, warm and friendly and the service is excellent. Most of all, though, the people are wonderful. They are the main reason why we love this restaurant. This is a hidden gem. An oasis in the hustle bustle of the market. Don't miss it.

Magnifique lieu. L'architecture est assez impressionnante et la vue sur Ottawa et la colline parlementaire vaut le détour. Impatient de découvrir le 3eme etage et l'histoire du Canada. Les salles sur les tradictions des peuples autochtones sont vraiment réussies. Ca manque un peu d'explications malgré tout. Expo temporaire sur le hockey très sympa. Le film es par contre très banal. Mais cela fait du bien de faire une pause après avoir marché longtemps.

I love that they text me as they are shopping to ask questions about the products I want. Its so simple to go online and choose what I need and want. I have to say that we've been coming to this place since it opened. We went to Cedar village because we couldn't get to Shawarma Chef, and it just re-enforced why we stopped going. It was not even busy and it was suppertime. We use to go to Cedar Village but, the garlic sauce is a mix of mayo and garlic, you want an extra tomato? pickle? onions on the shawarma? Its all extra costs. The owner, he makes you feel like he's doing you a favour serving you. Now, Shawarma Chef, the mom and dad come out and talk to you, the place is impeccably clean. You want a little extra, no worries, you want extra meat, they charge you a couple of bucks! My kids love the kafta, and we love there chicken, moist, seasoned nicely and bread is always fresh...the other...there's a reason why it gets overly toasted.

An out of the way little house that looks like a local take out pizza joint. Walk in and there are a few tables. Sit down and order and get some of the best Italian food I have had in Ottawa. Ask what the special is, you never know. We stared wit a sausage appetizer that is to die for, flavorful and spiced just right. There were 6 of us so we all ordered different things and tried each others. There was not a loser in the bunch. Skip the insalata, it is just greens on a plate. The veal picatta was outstanding and the pastas were great. Get the house wine, the night we were there it was a very good valpolicella.
You will need reservations here very soon, best to call before had anyway.

I’ve worked with this company twice now, both times after moving into a new home, to install siding and eavestroughing. Their customer service has always been exceptional. They complete their work with great care and efficiency.
