FABULOUS! Had lunch and the tastes were amazing with reasonable portions and cost. Samosas had more filling and less pastry unlike the common fare in Toronto. Interesting and varied new menu items highlight a new season in this well-established eatery. The three-course Friday night special I had was truly wonderful, exciting, flavourful food. A mesclum mix was restrained by slices of cucumber, sliced lengthwise and curved to form a holder for the leaves, the whole drizzled with a piquant apple-based vinagrette. The pork tenderloin entree was three large pieces stuffed with a savoury dressing that was so tasty and plentiful that while I finished the pork, I took the rest of the stuffing home. Dessert was a chocolate/caramel custard in a crunchy pastry shell, topped with fresh strawberries and blackberries. Portion size gave good value for the price which was reasonable for the quality. Presentation throughout was as artistic as any classy place in Toronto but the outstanding things about the meal, to my mind, were the number of homemade items (dressing, stuffing, pudding, pastry) and the commitment to flavour everywhere. I took my friend Gail to this restaurant as I had eaten there several times before, we were greeted and seated quickly, bathrooms were very clean, served our beverages quickly while we relaxed in a clean and friendly atmosphere. The fish and chips were awesome and plentiful and well cooked, Gails liver and onions were tender and flavorful. We had to skip desert because we were just too full...yes we will definitley return to Top Notch...great food and reasonably priced...friendly and knowledgeable staff. Lire plus

In July 2014 I tasted for the first time gelato at Maria'. The product is well worth the price as it is a bit more than ice cream but so much better for you. The flavors were all so tasty and the owner was very gracious and friendly. Highly recommend Yes she is off the beaten track a bit but if your looking for a treat this is the place to go. Lire plus
