If you like a good donair you should try the Donair Hut! The food is fresh, and the meat all slowly cooked to perfection. Beef, Chicken, Lamb and Falafels. He also makes excellent noodle and rice bowls. All the ingredients are fresh, and made daily. He makes the best hummus and tatziki! I also really enjoy the contemporary spin on the basic donair as he puts together some yummy combinations. I've never had a bad meal, and the owner is a really kind and friendly man! When visiting my friend at nearby Royal Columbian Hospital we stumbled upon this stylish eatery and decided to give it a try! The restaurant is beautifully furnished and warm with dark wooden floor. We ordered the Pad Thai, Green curry and crispy spring rolls. While we waited for the food we could hear the other table rave about their dishes to the server. I am well acquainted with Thai food and couldn't wait to see what all the fuss was about! As my curiosity peaked our spring rolls arrived, well presented and un-oily! Were these really deep fried? The pad thai and green curry were extraordinary! This is probably the best Thai food I've ever tasted and I'll be back with family very soon. Lire plus

I was skeptical at first because they ranked so high in reviews and this place was located in Delta/Surrey but I must say I was really impressed. I think Ive been to all the Japanese restaurants along the Westcoast and Akari is absolutely top notch. Their black rice specialty rolls and tempura were especially memorable. We went on a saturday night and ordered their more popular dishes (which was recommended by the server). The ingreidents were very fresh and the food tasted great. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. It's a small mom and pops restaurant...with really a little something for everyone. The food came out quick and the portions are huge! You really get your bang for your buck. Definately go again and try some of the other other dishes. The menu is very big and comes with pictures too. Would definately recommend to my friends. The overall quality of their avocado and spicy salmon rolls are better than most other places. The delivery was fast and they were within 5 - 10 minutes but promised a 30 minute maximum wait.
