once again Richard saves the day! Had my Tiguan in for oil change and check engine light FLASHING !!!! Scary! FIXED ! And through all this nasty cold snap (longest since 1998-and not done yet) she has amazed me just by starting! Silver Star Auto - I have been using Silver Star to repair all my vehicles for almost 20 years now. THEY ARE HONEST. They do not BS people. They are willing to cater to unique needs of a customer (like present an alternatives, if possible). The staff is very experienced with everyone being more or less there at the start and still there with the added apprentice once in a while (or worker - whatever - I assume).
These guys remembered my name after being away for years - that is impressive in on its own; it means they are smart and have good memories, which I think would serve a mechanic well; and apparently does.
When a LARGE Canada wide "Tire" company mechanic told me I needed new ball joints or my wheels would fall off within a month; even though I was there to get my brakes looked at, and quoted me prices over $1000. I HAD to get a second opinion. I just chanced upon Silver Star and was told the ball joints were fine. They lasted longer than 10 years - longer than the truck actually. Also, the brake job came in around $100 only (but 20 years ago), because they only did what was necessary, not tacking on new rotors, or the rear brakes (which had lots of life left at the time).
They will show you an old part they removed if you ask and even point out how it was defective.
They are professional and friendly enough - but not "Salesmen" - I have never been pressured to buy this or that. Try them and see!

GREAT place with satisfactory service at a great PRICE! For these reasons, I always prefer and I also tell all my friends/colleagues to take their cars and trucks to the Classified auto. Whenever I had any problems with my 2 cars such as general maintenance and more critical problems with my Toyota Camry, they fix them quickly and I'm happy with the service. Best Mechanic I have ever had. Honest and reliable. Very reasonable prices. Very passionate about cars. He only fixes the issues with no upsale. It is hard to find a mechanic that you can trust. I trust him completely. I have used them a few times over the past 6 years and have found him to go way above and beyond to make you happy. Jim Young Collision/Fix Auto Gateway is the most outstanding shop I have ever visited. I have brought both my personal vehicle here for collision repair and my classic car for restoration services. The service I received was excellent, the lady in the office was friendly and thorough, and Joe was so knowledgeable, the collision work on my personal vehicle was awesome and he absolutely knocked my classic vehicle restoration out of the park. I have always told my Customers that Call Backs are Free if there issues with any work I've done. A person would believe that if a Customer had those issues they would have called back. When I get a Callback, I usually respond in 24 Hours. Apparently Shel9300 did not feel the need to call back to let RGRmech know of these issues. RGRmech had an employee in 2020, those same Rules apply for that Employee.
