Oh my goodness this restaurant is good. It is a true gem and I have gone here many times with family and friends. Each and every time the food is hot, fresh and tastes like home cooking. The servers have been there awhile and are very kind and good at what they do. It is a family atmosphere where you can Taste the love in their food. Best of the Best, Taj hits the spot!! We have take out each time and the delivery is exceptionally fast. Food is packed perfectly and very clean. One bad weather night, we got a craving for Taj food. On this night they were not delivering. I spoke with Karan who always takes care of me! and explained our problem. KARAN ACTUALLY BORROWED A CAR TO DELIVER OUR FOOD!!!! An out of the way little house that looks like a local take out pizza joint. Walk in and there are a few tables. Sit down and order and get some of the best Italian food I have had in Ottawa. Ask what the special is, you never know. We stared wit a sausage appetizer that is to die for, flavorful and spiced just right. There were 6 of us so we all ordered different things and tried each others. There was not a loser in the bunch. Skip the insalata, it is just greens on a plate. The veal picatta was outstanding and the pastas were great. Get the house wine, the night we were there it was a very good valpolicella. I am disabled, and access use an issue that they cannot solve at that location, but they do everything that is possible to make up for it. We know our teppanyaki, and were very pleased. I have been to Waterfalls Lodge 6 or 7 times and have stayed a week each time. All of their cabins are located right on the water and they have about 10,000 acres of water on 7 adjoining lakes. Most times I go there I catch tons of HUGE smallmouth bass and lots of Walleye. The food is totally awesome and all of it is made from scratch. The Boats are some of the best I have fished from. We go there on the American Plan which includes Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner. If you are interested in a great meal, great fishing, and a relaxing vacation then be sure to check out Waterfalls Lodge. The last couple of years we have come around the end of September and the leaves are absolutely spectacular. Lire plus

We were a bit reluctant to visit Lago at first due to many negative reviews but since we have a gift certificate we might as well checked it out. The food was quite good but very salty. We ordered calamari for appetizer and it came to the table way too fast! But a very interesting dish ... in a good way. Main course came about the right time. I had sable fish which was quite good but salty and a bit oily. My husband ordered a rib steak. From most of the reviews we read, Lago tends to over cooked their steaks so he ordered rare. It came out med-rare, but was good. I had key lime pie for dessert. Mediocre. The service was very good, our waitress was efficient and polite. What surprise me at the end was when I asked for my dessert to go because I could only eat about 1/3 of it. I opened the box shortly after she gave to me just to make sure it was my dessert (happened before). My dessert was literally dumped into the box ... it was splattered upside down! Not sure what happened there. Overall, it was a nice restaurant, good food and good service. We would visit it again. Lire plus
