Burrard Hair Design has earned a loyal following among Kitsilano locals. The friendly, unpretentious and well-priced salon first opened its doors back in 1997. When asked why she wanted to open a hair salon, owner Lynn Nguyen's face lights up with pride.

Twenty years ago, the talented hair stylist was managing a Vancouver hair salon. While she was trained in and passionate about hair and beauty services and loved to help people, it was the management position that tapped into her business savvy. Eventually, Lynn decided it was time to go into business for herself. “I wanted to offer personalized, quality hair care and beauty services in a friendly and professional shop, with reasonable prices,” Lynn explains. Her decision paid off beautifully.
