We have come every year in December from Hamilton to Simcoe to see the Christmas lights. We stop at the Barrel Restaurant first, and it is a highlight of our trip: excellent food, excellent atmosphere. There is a very large menu, so I know people can order what they want and sometimes get something different from what they want. Suffice to say that I find the Penne Capri on par with meals served in Italy, and my husband and in-laws refuse to order anything other than the lasagna because they enjoy it so much every time. Good work once again!

We moved to Paris a year ago and this is our favorite restaurant!!! I had a surprise party for my husband and the staff were amazing!!! Everyone that came to the restaurant for the party is still raving about the food, service and atmosphere and the party was in August!!! We love this restaurant!!!!

July 22 had an 86 th birthday dinner. I only now saw the bill I was having a problem with the card machine. Our server was the best I have ever been fortunate enough to meet. Her name was Christina. We loved her. Here is my big problem. I did not put the correct tip on the bill. I feel terrible. She deserved so much more. Please tell her I will write a poem for her but that doesn’t make up for my error. She is the best. ???

It was my first time there and loved it! I ordered the perch and fries (ate inside, so their great little buffet was included with my meal!) The perch was done to perfection, so tasty! The buffet was great, with the different salads and the amazing fruit to finish my meal off. I enjoyed the old pictures, so much history there! Our server was very friendly and most attentive. I will be back, I enjoyed it so much!

We had read reviews about this place and decided to visit it one night. We were definitely not disappointed! When we first walked in, we were seated right away. The decor was very nice and casual. Our server was so polite, we were impressed with his kindness. We then chose to eat from the Indian style buffet. It was so delicious! They had tons of foods to choose from, I loved it! Everyone was friendly and welcoming. I will definitely go back!

The Cove Room remains in the early '70s. I hope they never change it.
We had a terrific meal tonight the servrice was great, and the wait staff is tremendous. The celery bread is amazing and salad cart was awesome. The yellow perch was done perfectly. Keep up the great tradition.

My Family, friends and I have been going to the Egg and I for years and although I never thought of writing a review, I have to this time.
We were greeted immediately and only waited a few minutes for a table to clear, it was packed!
We celebrated my birthday last Sunday and I was craving their Herb Feta Omelette, with a side of Cherry Pink Bacon, which in my opinion is the BEST brand to buy, and cooked to my perfection. Our drinks came out fast, coffee was fresh and always available but what I appreciated most was all our food came out at the same time. Everyone enjoyed their order and we all devoured the Banana Walnut Pancakes.
I've been to fine dining and can't stand when my portion is the size of my palm and our food is not served at the same time.
The Egg and I is a wonderful, fun Family Breakfast restaurant in Hamilton.
My Family and Friends enjoy the price, portion and the atmosphere.

We had an excellent experience at Bob's Place. The Portions really were HUGE. We all went home stuffed, with leftovers. The food was Delicious! The atmosphere was just fine, we actually like the multitude of Tiffany style pub lamps, especially the Blue Jays one.
The service was friendly and prompt. We will DEFINITELY return.

We stayed at the Comfort Inn in Simcoe last night and this was recommended as the best breakfast in town. It was a good breakfast but didn't live up to that recommendation. Coffee was very good; service was very quick. Very quick but our order was still served good. The waitress was very good about getting it heated up when we explained it was cold. Also delivered extra toast. Toast was very good...made from homemade bread. Peameal was very tasty but cut way too thin.
