I love the general atmosphere of this place which is charming and delightful. Its in a beautiful heritage house that transports you back to another time. The service is quite good too. We frequent this little piece of culture in downtown Belleville as often as we can. The lunch menu is incredible. Where else can you get delicious sandwich/quiche/salad with soup for $10? The bread is organic and baked fresh on the premises. The service is friendly and when you ask about the food they can always tell you what you want to know. The atmosphere is lovely and when the kitchen is open like it is there is nothing to hide. The bistro is impeccably clean and it is obvious that the chef/owner takes great pride in his business. We have eaten every sandwich, quiche, and meat pie on the menu as well as every soup and salad. We are never disappointed. For dinner you have to try the chef's table that takes place twice per month. An opportunity to sit with 12 other people to enjoy the surprise chef's choice menu of starter, main, and dessert. Incredible. If you haven't gone to L'Auberge de France then make a point of going. And don't miss the fresh croissants on Saturday mornings. Lire plus

Great little cafe. A bit cramped inside but a varied menu and very reasonable prices. Probably the best clubhouse sandwich in town, comes with fries for 7.80$. Lunch specials (sandwich usually) also with fries or soup and a drink for 7$. I had the pulled pork sandwich last time, and for being as far away from southern as you can get, it was very good. Meat was moist on a white bun (a must), enough sauce, solid flavour and tangy. Even the cole slaw (I normally don't touch slaw) was excellent with just the right amount of vinegar. Service is prompt, friendly and attentive. Excellent breakfast special as well, eggs, bacon/ham, hash browns, toast for around $5. Lire plus

This place was bustling on the beautiful sunny day we headed over, and I now know why. Everything about this place was great! The server was smiley and took great care to make us feel welcome and comfortable. The food was fresh and tasty, and sitting outside in the fresh air with the lovely park and lake view was unbeatable. The french fries are so good, they don't need ketchup!
