This is a low lit, romantic, swish place. Not too big, and sometimes not too busy due to its location I think. But its a secret that a few people I have met RAVE about. Good italian food is not difficult, it's just about the ingredients and l'amore. These dishes I had were outstanding, and you know that feeling when it surprises you?! I can't wait to go back. I've been to Brownstone's several times now, and it's always a good experience. Friendly staff, and good food. Their brunch gets busy on Sundays, and deservedly so, but we were able to make a reservation the night before for our not-so-small party. The banana and Nutella pancakes were delicious, but topped with syrup, were a bit rich for my delicate stomach. Good fresh orange juice. The decor is lively and interesting, though sitting near the front door can be drafty in cool weather. Lire plus

The best Indian restaurant in Toronto. The only restaurant on Gerrard with a constant line up (and think how many restaurants there are). A great buffet, always being replenished. Great variety of flavours and presentations. The bread is out of this world. If you order from the menu, the selection is even better. Every dish cooked fresh, and they will adjust the heat to your liking. Very attentive and polite servers. A beautifully decorated room. Do yourself a favour - go to Sidhartha tonight. Lire plus

This is a hidden gem over near the airport on Matheson. A friend of mine works in the area and he suggested it for a Saturday night dinner. We had a great time as the food was hot, fresh, and tasted great, plus the service was very professional. I like places where they have a pride of ownership and this is one where the owners are active in the business, the chef came from the kitchen to check on our meal, and they genuinely appreciated our business. We couldn't have asked for more. This place is now on our regular circuit of places to dine for lunch and dinner, Lire plus
