The Keg does not have a lot of meatless options, but I found myself with a $50.00 gift card there with friends so I thought why not. My review today is really based on the drink selection and the lounge food at the Keg. I ordered nachos for the group and they tasted fantastic. The drinks at the Keg are very initiative and refreshing. I think this Keg location truly rivals the other Keg locations as it is so glamorous and plush. Muse has to be one of my favorite “special occasion” restaurants in Calgary. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and combines the childhood whimsy of the circus with a touch of class. The staff was so tentative to my needs and really delivered on customer service. The dinner started with two wonderfully mixed cocktails to go with our complimentary truffle popcorn. The chef actually did a wonderful vegetarian chef menu for me, which I thought was very nice. I highly recommend the magic of muse to anyone going for their first date looking to impress. Lire plus

We went to Catch for our anniversary and sat in the Oyster Bar because we wanted a more casual and lively atmosphere. And lively it was! By 7:30pm the places was lively with patrons. Being in an Oyster Bar, we ordered some oysters and they were ok--a little briney but the vodka martinis made it easier to eat. Been to many different vietnamese restaurants throughout the city and found this to be the most authentic. Menu is easy to read and explains what every dish is and are rated based on popularity. Food taste excellent and is served in large portions. Service is also quick and waitress comes by frequently to check if anything else is needed. Very friendly staff and seems to know most people by name. Does however need a little bit more style and decor and maybe even a public bathroom renovation may be required. Servicing the business sector of downtown Calgary, West Restaurant is a great place to have lunch with colleagues or clients. The atmosphere is very modern and populated with business clientele, the service is quick, the pricing is reasonable, and the food is delicious. The only challenge I had was that I didn't make a reservation for lunch, and at 11:30 it was very busy and our table of 3 just about did not get in. There isn't any signage in ScotiaBank (as of posting May 21, 2010) as to where to go, at least I couldn't see it, so you have to make your way to the 2nd floor to enter the restaurant. Because we are from France and that we are used to very good food and wine pairing it has very difficult for us to accomodate ourselves in Canada but Giorgio's trattoria has been great for us everytime. They also have a fantastic wine list and they won a wine spectator award for it as well but the best of it all is the food and the service. Our appitizer of the southewestern Egg rolls were excellent and different, great dipping sauce. The soup of the day is homemade and different each day and excellent. They have weekly specials which the stuffed trout was and a side dish of garlic mashed potaotes are really garlicky and great. The wild boar burger is made with fresh meat and cooked to order, the french fries are crisp on the outside and soft on the inside, yummy. The Banana Changa is to die for and so is the Cookies and cream cake and could be enjoyed by 2. The restaurant is upstairs, only 18 yrs or older and the patios have views of the mountains. There are Live Bands some nights and dancing. Big Screen T.V.'s keep you up to date on sports if you're not enjoying the patio views of the mountains and pedistarians below. This is no way a Mexican restaurant but a cowboy/western restaurant with Buffalo burgers and Wild Boar burgers. The bar is excellent with drink specials with a twist.
