No doubt their dark roast coffee is some of the best. But this location is very small, busy and cramped. And the parking situation....difficult. Usually finding a seat is next to impossible. Balancing your purchases while waiting to add cream and sugar, a challenge. I will say the staff have always been pleasant to deal with, friendly and efficient. The selection of treats also good, if not a little over priced. Last trip in I bought a hot chocolate for a friend.... good. Another friend tells me the tea selection, also good. So all in all, if the craving for coffee is great enough, take out at this location is the way to go. Lire plus

The food was great, fresh, tasty, and great prices. It's warm and cozy inside, a great spot for a special dinner. Of all the Starbucks I have visited the Upper James location if by far the BEST!!!! The staff is always very friendly and not once has there been an issue with my my drink not being made correct. Great friendly vibe everytime you walk in. Barista Jenn is the best!!!! Lire plus
