We weren't sure where to have dinner and decided to try this place. It was definitely worth it! When we walked in, we were greeted right away, in Italian and English, which I thought was a nice touch. There was a piano player in the foyer playing nice tunes, I liked that. The server came over right away, very courteous and kind. We were given bread with oil and vinegar to dip, it tasted delicious! Definitely authentically Italian! We then ordered fried calamari to start, definitely a good choice! Nice and crispy! Our pasta came soon after. It was cooked to perfection! The sauce was superb and the pasta's flavours all blended together nicely. I was thoroughly impressed with this restaurant and would definitely visit again. The only thing that wasn't too nice was the price, over $80 for two people, but it was well-worth it. Lire plus

Went in expecting edge, sexiness, good food and I guess they've gone mainstream.There isn't an up-to-date review of this branch so I am writing one. I have never been to their restaurants and wanted to take in the atmosphere including the gorgeous ladies in their tight skirts. It was a disappointment to step into this location after all the promise and be shown to the booth. The staff is dressed very much as you would expect at any chain restaurant. This is not the promise. Too bad. The food was good, but since Earls charges more than the average I expect the staff and ambience to be excellent too. I am not sure what else to say. No miniskirts, no low cut blouses, nothing. The chicken was good and quite honestly the place was super clean. It's just that we were looking for the Earls experience as stated here and we didn't get it here. We didnt bother ordering drinks as this location doesn't really invite lounging. While Zen is our favourite Japanese Restaurant, my boyfriend and I have enjoyed dining here for their enoki maki (thin slices of beef wrapped around enoki-Japanese mushrooms). Their nigiri and sashimi while delicious is not a priority for us to order as they serve very thin small pieces for the price you pay. We have also had their sukiyaki (we cook ourselves on the table) and it is large enough for 3 people, although much more expensive ($60 for 2 people which includes rice and raw egg for dipping) than other restaurants where we have enjoyed the same. The sukiyaki comes traditionally (as they served), with slices of thin sukiyaki beef, tofu, Chinese cabbage, green onion, oyster mushrooms, shitake mushrooms and regular mushrooms, transparent thin noodles and onion. Their broth was excellent-not too sweet. A great meal to have on a cold day. Lire plus

I really like this restaurant. It will have your order ready within 10 minutes. If I'm ever working from home or just don't have time to cook, this is very quick and feasible option. The other day, I placed an order for a slightly spicy meal and went home. I found the meal too spicy for my taste so I asked if I could get a milder version. They just asked me to bring the original meal back & they provided me a fresh meal according to my liking within 10 minutes. Now, that's good customer service. This is such a comfy cozy place, and has free wireless internet access. I come here a lot for coffee, serve myself, stand at the counter to pay, and read the paper while I sit right by the window to drink it. I ate there once, but I can't remember what I had. This used to be our local pub until we moved away. Great atmosphere in an old house building, great prices and decent food. Loved sitting by one of the fireplaces with a pint and a Dodger Club (with real turkey, not deli slices). The staff was very friendly and over the years we got to know many of them. I ordered the veal sandwich this time for lunch to try if they really have the best veal in town, even though I haven't tried a lot of veals, their sandwich was awesome!! Their Breaded Eggplant was the best I've ever had and I will definitely take my wife here next time because she loves Eggplant. I used to eat here on a weekly basis. Great! Huge portions, very reasonable prices. When I visit Toronto, I often go back to Buddha's. Great location also - close to Kensington and Bathurst/College area. I usually get imitation duck - a layered (a little oily) tofu appetizer. I love the mushroom dishes. Re: the service and atmosphere: I've had both great and crabby servers here, but the lady that handles the bills (I think it's the owner) has always been super nice to us.
