Jay fixed and did a set-up on my Epiphone Casino (a re-make of the Gibson John Lennon Casino, seen in the Beatles' rooftop concert) and I got it back today. It had some tuning issues, bridge problems and the intonation was a bit off, but now it plays like a dream! I am happy I live so close to this awesome shop in Calgary downtown and I highly recommend them for friendly service and professional guitar expertise.

The technician that cleaned my car was AMAZING. I am so impressed by his hard work and attention to detail. The weather was pretty cold and he still took the time to make sure my car was spotless. I think he went above and beyond what I asked for, while being very friendly and polite. I wish I had thought to offer him a coffee or something warm after the service! I will absolutely be using Janicarp Ventures again.

Hailan always does an amazing job, she is not only friendly and kind, but always takes her time to ensure perfection. She recently hired a girl named Angel who I immediately liked when I met. Moreover, no job is too small or messy for her – she has willingly accepted every item requiring attention that I have brought to her. The last two were shortening the sleeves of an expensive grey coat my wife bought on-line from Hudsons Bay, dealt with sooner than expected and perfectly. And repair of two thick Herdwick wool sweaters for me.

I went to this laundromat twice this week, as my laundry room is under renos... Saturday mid-day was so busy, but that's to be expected... Today was quiet! Lots of washers and dryers of different sizes.. The owner was very friendly and nice! Also - the Vietnamese restaurant in the same strip is great to grab a healthy lunch while clothes are in the dryer!

I asked John to invent a way to enlarge my dining room table for Christmas dinner. I did not want him to make another leaf because this is a beautiful old rosewood table, and cranking it open and closed is a lot of work. So John invented and created a plywood top that extends 18 inches past both ends of the table, and now my dining room looks like Downton Abbey. Ingenious! Without Downton Abbey prices.
