This is such an amazing gym! The instructors for group exercise classes are top of the line. I enjoy their Zumba classes and yoga classes. The studio is super spacious! The gym is huge and very clean. I love their modern equipment such as the power racks, reverse hyper, and cable machines! They have plenty of equipment, it's never crowded and I like how clean it is and they have the most professional gym equipment like the hammer strength area, and their cardio machines. Definitely a good old fashion type men's barbershop. In the time I was there getting the boys(teens) hair cut there was lots of men coming in. So pretty steady. The 2 guys are polite , efficient and good at the nice clean cuts they were doing. Only drawback was its cash only... No debit or credit

I try and hit up Rodney's whenever I am in Van.
Located on trendy Hamilton St. it's got some serious character. Sit at the bar for a great view of the oyster shucking and some lively chat with the bartenders. Staff is friendly with plenty of personality. They have an oyster happy hour 4-6pm (if I remember correctly) where it's half price oysters. And seeing as many of the oysters and ingredients come right out of the ocean around BC the food is beyond fresh.
And in case you were wondering, this place has the best selection of oysters I have seen yet. 11 different kinds on the last visit. My favorites being Fanny Bay and Kushi. Good selection of craft beer on tap too.

I was our first visit to this neighbourhood pub.
It is a small restaurant with low ceilings and panelled in dark wood. The seating is very comfortable. The menu is small, however it offers something for everyone.
We tried their signature dish "Oyster po' boy" ($15). It is served with a roasted tomato soup drizzled with rich basil oil. The dish was flavourful and nicely presented. The service was good and very friendly.

I stayed at this hotel for months on end after our house was damaged in a fire. The staff at this location were great, from the front desk to the cleaning staff. They made us feel like we were right at home and had no problem with letting our dog and cat stay as well.

I came in looking to buy a violin, and Rino showed me around and let me play everything in the shop, even instruments wildly out of my price range, just for the experience. As an advanced student, just a few weeks of practicing on this instrument has completely transformed my playing, and I deeply regret the literal years I wasted being held back by a poor instrument.
Rino is the most prestigious luthier in Vancouver and he actually knows what he's doing. Highly recommended.

I moved to Surrey 2 years ago and just couldn't find any restaurant that served good old fashion home cooked greasy spoon diner fare. I spotted Round-Up Cafe on a drive by and decided to pull over and try it out. They refurbished the chairs to a fabulous sparkly silver. It is cozy and comfy and very clean and the owners are extremely friendly. I ordered a soup for my toddler and a special for myself. I was surprised the special came with a soup and a desert which was nice for $12. Coffee is $2.10 and they only charge once and are excellent with refills. Food was 'just like grandma used to make' very tasty. Soup was a bit to peppery for my taste buds. My main was excellent but if you don't want gravy, you need to order it on the side or they pour it on. Coffee was excellent. My son loved the vanilla pudding - another unexpected surprise. The restaurant was packed at lunch on a weekday. This is a restaurant I would recommend Grandad to visit. Nice old fashion 1940s diner feel with good home cooking.

We came here on a weeknight, for a friends birthday it was quite busy despite what we had heard. The atmosphere was very good, sort of bustling. The service was quite good as well even though they seemed very busy. The food was the winner of the day though with such a selection of appetizers it was hard to decide between snacking on selections like dungeness crab rice paper rolls, seared digby scallops and wild mushroom and goat cheese pate or going for the Entrees.. We chose a few of each and were not dissapointed

We love going into and past this store to check out the great fixtures they have in place. Full of interesting bathtubs, sinks and fixtures this is the best place to plan your bathroom reno. The only thing is that they can be pricey but for the unique and high quality stuff they carry I figure that is the price you pay. My wife and I have already decided what we want but we're going to need a bigger bathroom! Ripples is a great place to start when looking for ideas for your kitchen and bathroom.
