We had a lovely table by the window so we had a nice view. Overall ambience is very bright and contemporary. To our benefit the restaurant was not that busy on a weeknight and we parked very close. The service was very good. We enjoyed their daily flatbread special and crab cakes to start. For our mains we went with halibut and osso bucco, both too were very good and cooked just right. And to finish went with a delicious choco molten cake just perfect to share.

If you have never been to the Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts (my friends call it short: Cooking School), well you have to try it. The restaurant is located just at the entrance to Granville Island.
I went there recently and ordered the following:
Appetizer: Red Beet / Gravad Lox ($9)
Main Course: Lamb Saltimbocca ($19)
Wine:
Hester Creek Okanagan Valley, BC Glass ($8)
This meal was a culinary delight. Pricing is very reasonable in comparison to the big names here in town.

If its paper, and its specil, its here. Another of the gems of Granville Island, Paper-Ya is a terrific place to go for paper of all descriptions. Archival paper, art paper, origami paper, writing paper, note paper and paper cards they have all kinds on offer. For the more daring they even have the supplies you need to make your own paper. They also offer a great little selection of greeting cards and unique and wonderful journals and notebooks that make great gifts. Visit Paper-Ya for unique and wonderful stationery!

Love the selection, quality products, expert advice, sales, and all round friendly and dedicated service. Classes and rentals were good too. I would say it is one of the highlights at Granville Island.
