Lunch on the patio on a perfect summer day. Food was ok, chardonnay was served in the tiniest stemless red wine glasses - maybe four oz serving for $9 - a little pricey. Complimentary hummus and crackers served as an appy - crackers were a little stale and very crunchy!! Meatloaf was served in a soup bowl filled with mashed potatoes. The meat had fatty chunks and the portion was on the small side, but ok. Pizza was cut into four pieces served on a cutting board. Limited toppings and a little on the dry side - could have used more sauce. The day was a little windy and the arugula on top of the pizza flew away. The atmosphere was great! While they do not have a huge menu, the special of soup + a deli meat sandwich with choice of cheese on a fresh kaiser roll can't be beat! The soup of the day is always homemade and every-time we have been there we have never been disappointed. Every one of the staff members were very courteous and attentive. My daughter had her newborn son strapped to her chest in a wrap and many staff members stopped by to see our 6 week old grandson. The manager on duty even stopped to ask how everything was. The food and service was wonderful. The food never fails to please. We also ordered takeout recently with chicken parm meal for 4. I took a date there for date night. A nice, large booth was offered to us, very romantic and appealing. The food was great in my opinion. Portions were very generous, and the flavour was more of a Canadianized Italian than authentic style. We both enjoyed or meal and the real treat came at dessert with the Chocolate Pizza - amazing and worth going again so I can introduce another to this delicacy. The wine list was surprisingly diverse, a welcome treat. Our server treated us well. Based on my experience I would return to try it out again. Lire plus

Visiting the Falls and the bar was a 5 minute walk from the motel. The girl serving us, Kristen, was friendly and fast...had our drinks in no time even though it was busy and she was the only server. Food came fast, hot and exactly how I like my wings and I'm fussy! Spoke with Tuna (Charlie maybe?) behind the bar and told him that if I lived here, this is where I would hang out...he bought my wife and I a drink, which we thought was excellent. Went back the next night and ate something completely different and it to was excellent. Four dinners in 2 nights with about 8 pints total including somewhat generous tips brought the 2 day total to $92 CDN...the place is inexpensive and the food is very good. Lire plus

My first visit to The Feathery was almost 4 years ago, along with my brother and sister in law, whom live in St. Catharines. Everytime I come back for a visit we find our selves back dining there. However, my experiences there this past week were a hit and miss on service. Last night we actually asked to have our server changed as the waitress that was assigned to us us terrible. We were luck to have Lucinda, whom served us several times this week, sometimes twice a day......yes my family lives close. I look forward to dining there again upon my return to St Catharine s in March of 2013. Lire plus

I have lived in Welland for over 30 years and have never eaten here until they mentioned "Buffalo Chicken Burger" on their advertising sign out front. So we decided to stop in and try it, I must say, it is a great burger and possibly the best in the entire Niagara Region, it is reasonably priced with perfect golden fries but no one else makes a Buffalo Chicken Burger like Cheers does.
