No long winded review here just want to state the facts. Excellent food, service is great, atmosphere is good but not great considering its in a parking lot. But take note that the bathrooms just reek, I was there 2 yrs earlier and the one thing I remembered was how smelly the mens bathroom was, well it hasn't changed. Its such a turnoff because it only makes me wonder if management has no control or cares less about sanitary conditions then I wonder how the kitchen is maintained. Too bad cause otherwise its a great eating place.

My friends and I went after a day of XC skiing and had a wonderful evening. The meal started with a complimentary bowl of homeade chickpea soup topped with fresh cilantro - delicious. I ordered the super tasty melt in your mouth lamb shish kebab.
BTW - we loved it so much we bought some the owner's 'secret spice' to take home with us!

I came here for lunch a few months ago and was very impressed. We arrived just as the place opened up; the upstairs dining area had not been opened yet. Regardless, I asked if we could have a table on the upper level and the wait staff accommodated our request and opened up the upstairs area and we were given the option to have our choice of any table we wanted. We chose a table on the North side of the restaurant with a great view of the By-ward Market. My burger tasted a little dry but as I had never tried buffalo or bison before I didn't know if that was normal or not. Aside from that the atmosphere was so nice I probably would have even enjoyed a bad meal in that restaurant, sitting where I was.

Very friendly staff, really good fish and chips, wings, burgers, and weekend breakfasts WITH FRIED BALONEY - YEAH! The decor is tired but just like what you would find in small town Newfoundland. The washrooms are clean. If you go there just to eat, especially in the evenings and on weekends, be prepared for lots of rowdy barflies - this is very much a neighbourhood bar with loyal regulars.

Fantastic service and they show up at the time they schedule you for! Due to previous bad service from the company I bought my hot tub from, I decided to give Sonshine a try. Very prompt response to a pump issue. With company coming to visit and the needed part on back order, they were willing to install a new pump without a new pump charge. My part arrived in time after all and my company enjoyed a nice day on my deck with a working hot tub. I will be calling Sonshine for any future needs!
