I have been going to Satay on the Road off and on for the better part of 15 years and have never once in that time had a disappointing meal. The food is always fantastic and despite having tried a myriad of different items I always come away from Satay satisfied. Of particualr note are one of the appetizers and one of the mains. First, the appetizer. Golden Baskets. They should call them by their full name...Golden Baskets of Amazing Tasty-ness with Just the Right Amount of Flavourful Spicy Goodness. I guess there isn't enough room on the menu for that though. These and the spring rolls are the perfect combo to kick off your meal. The second is Cashew Nut Chicken. I still hold Satay on the Road's Cashew Nut Chicken up as the gold standard for this dish. On a recent visit it made me miss Toronto...it is that good! The drinks list is kitschy too...they have their cocktail menu on those paper place-mats that used to be all the rage back in the '70s. Ah nostalgia. Anyway, located in the heart of Bayview Village...the area not the mall...Satay on the Road is a must dine for anyone who loves Thai and Malaysian food! Lire plus

I had dinner at this restaurant for the first time, in late November and had a fabulous meal. I agree with all of the reviews here. In my opinion, not many restaurants deserve the reviews they get but this one certainly does. Fresh, tasty and authentic. This was our first time at Simply Thai Cuisine. It was recommended by a Toronto relative who has been impressed by the food and service on a number of visits. This restaurant was well worth the trip from London. Every item was excellent and our waiter was very helpful and understanding. The prices are extremely reasonable.
